Hiding the toolbar in Firefox

Problem

You started screen sharing at a business setting and you forgot to hide the toolbar or you have not even thought about hiding it. That might show some private bookmarks that would be best to avoid sharing. In order to avoid that, here is how to hide it and then show it.

Using the menu

From the menu go to View -> Toolbars -> Bookmarks Toolbar -> Never Show

Using the keyboard

This approach is usually faster, that is because you do not have to raise your hands to use the mouse therefore less reaction time. Especially if you can touch type. In Firefox, the shortcut is

Shift ⇧ + Command ⌘ + B

Try it few times, it toggles the visibility of the toolbar.

Conclusion

Knowing more than the basic shortcuts is very helpful. It has as a result to become an all around better computer user. It helps you take control of the program you’re using and looks like a pro.
